Services
The facility provides a variety of services on site to address the identified treatment needs which include:
- Weekly face-to-face psychiatric services
- Case management, individual, family and group therapy provided by Social Services/Clinical Department
- Nursing care and medication management services provided by Nursing Department
- Recreational activities and Leisure Education groups provided by Recreation Staff
- Qualified, Licensed Teachers will be provided by contract with the Marshall County Board of Education.
- Supervision of daily activities and behavioral and emotional support provided by Mental Health Technicians and Nursing staff.
- Discharge Services, including referrals to psychiatrists, therapists, support groups, education services, vocational services, or any other needs identified that will benefit the resident and his/her family in recovery. Staff will assist by making appointments when indicated, providing literature, and answering questions about options.
- Trauma informed Care and Trauma Focused Care
All services are provided by a Treatment Team that consists of psychiatrist, nursing, therapists, education, MHT’s, discharge planner, and other service providers as indicated.
The length of stay for each resident of HYV is determined by severity of symptoms and the resident’s response to the treatment process. However, the average length of stay will typically range from three to six months.
The diagnoses/issues of residents at HYV may include the following:
- Mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder
- Anxiety Disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Disruptive Behavior Disorders
- Dual Diagnosis Psychiatric and Substance Abuse
- Residents on Autism Spectrum that are verbal, communicative, and can reasonably benefit from-and participate in-the treatment process.
